Two books bound as one. First edition thus. Each book has engraved frontispiece (first by Tenniel - the Children in the Wood") and title page. Very sporadic light foxing, otherwise fine. Half leather with marbled boards (rubbed). Four raised bands on spine, with black and gilt decoration.

Esrly edition (with blue endpapers and checkerboard design on front cover). A very good + book without dust jacket - light wear to base of spine. Plates immaculate

Early edition. Dust jacket price-clipped.  A near fine book in very good jacket indeed. Early edition as "Autumn" is mentioned, but not "old Rhymes", so c 1928. No marks or blemishes on book or plates.   Jacket has very light wear to top and bottom of the spine, otherwise undamaged. Plates in excellent condition, and no inscriptions.

A very early edition (possibly 1st) as Groundsel and Necklaces is the the last title mentioned.

Two Volumes, cloth, both very good+ (pages uncut, scattered light foxing otherwise near fine). Jacket to volume 1 is near very good, rip to top, spine sunned, general light wear, jacket to volume 2 is very good + ( light sunning to spine). Impressive collection of european folk tales

First edition thus. A good only softback booklet, in oversized wraps. Spine is missing the bootom 3 cm (1 1/4 inches), Edgewear ro the open end of the wraps. Still scarce.

First edition. A very good book (structurally fine but dirty and faded to spine, and top edge of front cover) in remnants of dust jacket

Fifth edition. A good only book without dust jacket. 48 coloured plates by Margaret Tarrant are in very good condition, but severe pinch mark to bottom corner of book puts a significant fold to bottom corner of all pages (including border of plates), oval paste down on front cover is torn, one page has (tea?) spots

Very good book with very good- dustjacket. First English edition. Jacket has slight chipping at top of spine, together with two small tears. Not price-clipped. Owner's inscription on f.e.p.
