"Lewisham" has 1 inch split each side of base of spine; "Polly" has small split each side of top of spine, and spine is loose; "War" has light crease mark running vertically up the front cover". Each form part of a series of ten volume published to commemorate H.G. Wells' 80th. birthday.

I guess a very early reprint, although this is not stated. A near fine book without dustjacket. Publishers plain olive green cloth with title (in gilt) only on the spine. No foxing, virtually no wear, slight (dirt/dust?) mark on bottom edge.No advertisements, previious owners pencilled signature and date of 1910 on fep. fep is a little browned (not foxed)
